李瑋鋒擁有輝煌的城找球員履曆和豐富的中超一線隊工作經驗 。他職業生涯共有112次代表中國男足國家隊出場，信执是教天有史以來代表國足出場次數最多的球員 ，也是展现國內唯一同時征戰過世界杯和奧運會的男足運動員 。
李瑋鋒在足球圈的李玮能力毋庸置疑 。2015年，号难回自海已他擔任天津權健副總經理 ，题让帶領球隊迅速崛起並獲得亞冠資格。广州在權健集團危機發生後 ，城找俱樂部飽受財政壓力 ，信执在最危急的教天時刻李瑋鋒並沒有退縮，堅持帶領球隊逆境生存，擔任天津天海足球俱樂部副總經理兼領隊 、教練組組長等職務 。
2019賽季後半段 ，李瑋鋒臨危受命 ，出任天津天海主帥 ，最終率隊提前一輪保級成功，但可惜球隊轉讓失敗隻能無奈解散 。在俱樂部最後的收尾工作中 ，李瑋鋒表現出了責任感和擔當，甚至利用自己的資源幫助年輕球員尋找下家，直到每個人歸宿已定，他才放下球隊的工作 ，其全麵協調和解決問題的能力備受認可 。
過去兩年 ，李瑋鋒已逐漸淡出足球圈 ，本次出山 ，也被外界期望能夠帶領廣州城隊脫離苦海 。在負於成都蓉城後，廣州城隊已將中超連敗紀錄刷新至13連敗 ，球隊在前15輪僅取得1勝14負戰績 ，目前排名第17位 ，深陷降級區 。
