此前，拦截由於曼聯球迷的诱饵抗議活動 ，雙紅會被迫推遲到當地時間本周四進行 。谍战大巴躲开在更改的片利比賽時間公布後 ，曼聯球迷組織表示 ，物浦將會再次組織抗議活動 。使用為了能讓比賽順利進行 ，成功兩家俱樂部也是球迷策劃了不少“戰術” 。據悉，利物浦為這場比賽準備了兩輛帶有利物浦隊徽的紅色大巴車 ，除此之外 ，還另準備了兩輛黑色的大巴在酒店待命 。
比賽之前 ，被球迷所攔截的紅色大巴車上沒有搭載任何一名球員 ，而就在抗議球迷正麵與警方對峙之時 ，載有紅軍球員 、教練的真大巴車則成功“暗渡陳倉”，在警方的護送下抄小路抵達了老特拉福德 。而主隊的曼聯球員 ，他們早在比賽開始前六個小時便已經抵達老特拉福德待命了。
最終 ，這場比賽利物浦4-2擊敗了曼聯，拿下了爭四道路上的關鍵三分 ！
