北京時間4月10日，國際足聯主席因凡蒂諾在受邀觀看法乙圖盧茲隊的蒂诺比賽後，參加了媒體發布會 。不改变规期間他談到了延長比賽時間的情况話題 。
因凡蒂諾表示 ：“我認為 ，下延效我們必須對比賽真實時間的长比問題作出反思了。不過可以肯定的因凡是 ，改變規則（比如把比賽時間延長到100分鍾）是蒂诺不可能的”有時候 ，一場比賽進行過程中浪費了很多時間 。不改变规如果有人付費或訂閱了觀看一場90分鍾的情况足球比賽 ，但其中真實比賽時間隻有50分鍾 ，下延效那我們就真該反思了 。长比”
因凡蒂諾說道 ：“裁判或許不會給出10分鍾的因凡超長補時 ，但毫無疑問 ，蒂诺補時長短應該與真實比賽相匹配 。不改变规延長比賽是不可能的 ，規則不會改變 。但我們必須考慮未來如何讓足球更具吸引力 。”
在此前的國際足聯大會上 ，國際足聯主席因凡蒂諾依然沒有放棄改製世界杯的想法，之前因凡蒂諾就曾經提出把世界杯改為2年一屆 ，但這個提議被拒絕了 ，更多的議員覺得世界杯兩年一次太過頻繁了 ，不利於足球的發展 ，這不被拒絕之後的因凡蒂諾依然沒有死心 ，他提議世界杯改為3年一次。
