據報道 ，赛爆骚乱受伤克雷塔羅VS阿特拉斯的球迷比賽 ，阿特拉斯在第60分鍾取得進球 ，混战隨後雙方球迷爆發衝突 ，致人並且有球迷開始闖入場內，惨烈互相追打 ，場麵極其混亂 。而雙方球迷的衝突也從肢體接觸升級到用棍棒互毆 ，甚至有人拆下了球場內的座椅以及其他物件當作“武器”進行攻擊 ，大量球迷血流滿麵。
一位女球迷在社交媒體上發文回憶了此事 ，她表示，當時主隊球迷向客隊球迷無差別攻擊時 ，所有人都慌了 ，隻能倉促逃跑 。在麵臨危險時 ，一名克雷塔羅球迷將自己的球衣獻出，讓她穿上逃跑 ，而這件球衣上有著克雷塔羅全隊球員的簽名。這名女球迷也在社媒上發文尋找那位幫助她的克雷塔羅球迷 ，並希望能將簽名球衣還給他 。
事情發生後 ，墨西哥甲級聯賽主席阿裏奧拉宣布第9輪剩餘比賽暫停 ，以聲援那些在事件中受到影響的人 。
