在本周四阿圖爾回到尤文報到備戰新賽季 ，战两但在集訓前的尤文例行體檢中 ，尤文隊醫發現阿圖爾的右腿軟組織仍存在問題 ，阿圖爾因此沒有參加周四上午和下午的訓練 。為了一勞永逸地解決問題 ，阿圖爾最終決定立即接受手術治療 ，預計手術將在周五進行。
《足球市場》 、《都靈晚郵報》等媒體稱 ，阿圖爾在手術後將缺席兩個月時間 ，這意味著他要等到9月中旬才能複出 。2021-22賽季意甲聯賽在8月22日開賽 ，阿圖爾肯定將缺席新賽季尤文的前三輪意甲聯賽 ，分別是8月22日尤文客場對烏迪內斯 、8月29日尤文主場對恩波利 、9月12日尤文客場對那不勒斯。
新賽季尚未開始 ，隊內中場大將就因傷缺席 ，這對尤文新主帥阿萊格裏來說是個打擊 。阿萊格裏在時隔兩年後回到尤文執教，就是希望幫助尤文重返巔峰 。不過新賽季的歐冠首輪小組賽將在9月14日 、15日進行 ，如果康複及時 ，阿圖爾有望在尤文的首輪歐冠小組賽時複出 。
