北京時間10月4日 ，英媒據英國《太陽報》報道，曼联英超豪門曼聯俱樂部計劃在2022年前與博格巴完成續約，计划這位法國中場的年底新合同的周薪將達到40萬英鎊 。
博格巴的续约續約問題一直是外界關注的焦點，根據《太陽報》的博格巴新消息 ，曼聯計劃在新年到來之前完成博格巴的合同續約工作。本賽季 ，周薪擺脫了傷病困擾以及C羅的英媒回歸，使得博格巴展現出了極佳的曼联競技狀態。在進攻端，计划博格巴是年底曼聯的中場發動機，策動球隊的续约攻勢；防守端 ，法國中場的博格巴新表現同樣是前所謂未有的積極 ，以往為人所詬病的合同防守失位 、眼神防守的問題一去不複返 。這位中場核心本賽季已為曼聯出戰了9場比賽 ，送出7次助攻 ，出場時間693分鍾 。不過 ，博格巴的合同將於明夏到期，因而曼聯俱樂部非常迫切地想要在2022年到來之前與他完成續約 。要知道 ，博格巴在明年冬窗就可以與其他俱樂部談判並預簽合同，曼聯當然不想看到這樣的情況發生 。

《太陽報》還表示，曼聯方麵深知博格巴的價值，以及對他感興趣的豪門俱樂部 。28歲的法國中場正值職業生涯的巔峰期 ，在眾多對他感興趣的豪門中西甲皇家馬德裏和法甲巴黎聖日耳曼是最具競爭力的兩家俱樂部 。前者是博格巴一直向往之地 ，雖然偶像齊達內已經離任 ，但是伯納烏仍對他有極大的吸引力；後者擁有無與倫比的財力 ，具備滿足拉胖和博格巴本人的經濟要求的能力，而且現在擁有梅西的大巴黎被稱為“航空母艦” ，因而不排除法國中場返回家鄉的可能性。
