Pikachu's new look was debuted in a trailer for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! Features include customizing Pikachu and Eevee with different hairstyles. Of all the scenes in the trailer, one just makes you want to shake your head and mourn for Pikachu's hair.

Everyone knows that you don't get bangs unless you're going through a rough patch. Nobody chooses to hack off the front half of their hair if they're doing OK.
