沙迦當地時間11月8日，中國國家男子足球隊一天兩練，技术决策上午隊伍在酒店健身房進行了身體訓練；晚7點 ，国足隊伍繼續在Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium進行場地訓練 ，练作包括已經和隊伍會合的足协总监主教武磊在內 ，一共27名隊員全部參加合練 。技术决策
在訓練開始前 ，国足隊員武磊和中國足協技術總監克瑞斯接受了媒體采訪 。练作8日淩晨剛剛與隊伍會合的足协总监主教武磊表示 ，不能在國內主場進行接下來的技术决策兩場比賽有些遺憾 ，但是国足現在隊伍已經來到這裏 ，大家的练作想法就是打好接下來的比賽，完成我們的足协总监主教目標 。武磊認為，技术决策隊伍要專注於做好自己的国足事情 ，遇到困難的時候不能喪失信心 ，外界稱讚聲音多的時候也要了解自己的不足。武磊希望能在沙迦取得進球 ，更重要的是能幫助球隊取得勝利 。
中國足協技術總監克瑞斯從四十強賽最後四場比賽開始 ，就一直和隊伍在一起 。他表示 ，作為技術總監有長期任務也有短期任務 ，目前的短期任務就是像他一直以來做的那樣 ，用他豐富的經驗幫助國家隊教練組 。克瑞斯表示：“我是一個積極的人 ，我們要積極地麵對目前的處境 ，我們要鼓勵我們的球員建立信心 ，不要害怕任何對手 ，我們有優秀的球員 ，我們有優秀的團隊 ，我們要相信自己能做好 。”另外 ，克瑞斯認為 ，國家隊層麵上一定要選擇在一起能形成合力的球員組成這個集體 ，在這個集體裏主教練是作出決策的那個人 ，一旦作出決策 ，我們就要支持主教練 ，這是非常重要的 。
