北京時間1月25日 ，官方英超沃特福德俱樂部官方宣布 ，沃特拉涅利不再擔任球隊主教練一職。福德從執教沃特福德開始至今 ，宣布拉涅利隻在沃特福德的主帅执教帥位上待了112天 。
沃特福德在官方公告中表示 ：“沃特福德俱樂部官方確認 ，拉涅利下克勞迪奧-拉涅利已經卸去一線隊主教練一職。课仅克勞迪奧先生是官方世界足壇最受人尊敬的主教練之一 ，他在維卡拉格路的沃特貢獻 ，始終會被俱樂部和球迷們銘記 。福德”
沃特福德官方繼續寫道 ：“但是宣布在本賽季的英超還剩下一半比賽的情況下 ，俱樂部高層認為 ，主帅执教主教練的拉涅利下更替會讓新任主教練擁有充足的時間來熟悉球隊 ，並在最終帶領一支優秀的课仅隊伍完成留在英超賽場的目標 。”
值得一提的官方是，在拉涅利成為沃特福德主教練之後 ，至今隻過了112天。在其帶隊的13場比賽中，沃特福德隻取得了7個積分 。如今20輪比賽過後，沃特福德隻拿到了14個積分 ，排名積分榜倒數第二位 。
