北京時間6月10日 ，曝厄據英國《太陽報》的瓜多国籍消息 ，世界杯32強中的尔因厄瓜多爾 ，如今正麵臨著被逐出世界杯的造假逐出可能，因為他們在使用球員時涉嫌國籍造假，将被而智利則將遞補獲得世界杯的世界參賽資格 。
上個月 ，杯智补智利方麵向國際足聯提出抗議 ，利递稱在世界杯南美區預選賽中 ，曝厄厄瓜多爾球員卡斯蒂略涉嫌國籍造假，瓜多国籍這起事件如今將得到裁決 。尔因
《太陽報》表示 ，造假逐出厄瓜多爾已經基本確定將被逐出世界杯 ，将被因為國際足聯認定卡斯蒂略不具備代表厄瓜多爾出場的世界資格 ，因此所有卡斯蒂略出場的杯智补比賽，厄瓜多爾都會被判為0-3告負 ，這也意味著厄瓜多爾會在積分榜上掉出前四。
而《太陽報》還指出 ，盡管秘魯是排名南美區第五的球隊 ，但智利卻會獲得遞補參加世界杯的資格 ，這頗有當初俄羅斯遭到禁賽 ，意大利媒體認為作為未進入世界杯中國際足聯排名最高的球隊，意大利將獲得遞補資格的意味 。
