《鏡報》報道，遭遇在缺席曼聯與利物浦一役後 ，丧之首次神情當地時間本周三 ，痛后透露C羅回歸了曼聯的回归訓練 。在記者拍攝的曼联照片中 ，C羅坐在座駕的训练後排 ，帶著耳機，憔悴閉著眼睛 ，遭遇神情似乎有些憔悴 。
而在周中的安菲爾德 ，現場球迷在第7分鍾時集體鼓掌聲援C羅 ，還為C羅唱起了《你永遠不會獨行》這首歌 ，讓人頗為動容。在那之後 ，C羅的家人也向利物浦球迷表達了感謝。
C羅的姐姐Elma表示：“感謝這樣的利物浦 。我們永遠也不會忘記你們今天所做的一切 。”而另一位姐姐Katia則寫道 ：“超越足球的方式 。”
C羅的母親Dolores ，則引用了《聖經》中的一段話 ，“用你全部的心去相信上帝 ，不要依靠你自己的個人理解，用你全部的方式去接受他 ，他會為你指引道路 。”
