可以說皇馬的這份續約報價已經很有誠意 ，但巴黎聖日耳曼卻準備從中插一腳。《阿斯報》援引西班牙媒體ABC的報道稱 ，巴黎聖日耳曼已經開始接觸維尼修斯，想要說服他不要和皇馬續約，而是在2024年合同到期後加盟巴黎聖日耳曼。為此大巴黎願意提供一份年薪高達1700萬歐元的六年合同 。
巴黎聖日耳曼一直對維尼修斯很感興趣 ，在今年夏天皇馬求購姆巴佩時 ，大巴黎就曾提出把維尼修斯加入到轉會談判中 ，但當時被皇馬拒絕 。而皇馬挖角姆巴佩也惹惱了巴黎聖日耳曼俱樂部，如果皇馬在明年夏天免費簽下合同到期的姆巴佩 ，那麽大巴黎希望用高薪吸引維尼修斯合同到期後免費加盟作為報複手段。
不過《阿斯報》也指出 ，維尼修斯目前對巴黎聖日耳曼的邀請並不感興趣 ，他的想法時繼續留在皇馬 。此前維尼修斯曾表示 ：“皇馬是世界上最好的俱樂部，我想要在這裏效力很長時間 。我的目標是在皇馬經曆一個偉大的職業生涯 ，就像C羅 、拉莫斯 、馬塞洛他們一樣。”
而在本輪西甲聯賽前 ，皇馬主帥安切洛蒂公開表示 ：“維尼修斯是一個必須在左邊路踢球的球員，無論有哪位球員來到這裏 ，他都會繼續踢左邊鋒位置 。”《阿斯報》認為 ，安切洛蒂的這番話也是在安撫維尼修斯 ，即使皇馬未來引進姆巴佩，維尼修斯也無需擔心自己的主力位置不保 。
