隨後穆裏尼奧表示 ：“如果我能一直用主力陣容 ，失败输球我會用的 ，但這存在風險 ，因為我們兩組球員的實力存在差距，我們有13名球員具備踢主力的水準，其他球員水平高低不同。輪休是為了讓球員休息的更好 。我知道羅馬有自己的局限性 ，我期待未來會有更好的表現 。當然我作為教練 ，上場球員和陣容都是我的戰術選擇 ，所以我要負責 。”
談到慘敗對於球員影響，穆帥說 ：“每一次失敗都會讓人傷心，我和球員交流過了 ，大家都很坦誠，我可以和他們敞開心扉 ，但是對於外界不能太坦誠 。我們的主力陣容發揮的很好 ，本賽季應該獲得更多的積分 ，我們擺正心態，準備周日的比賽 。”
