今晚 ，中超聯賽第二階段爭冠組進行第五輪比賽，队主廣州隊在天河體育場以1比0擊敗北京國安隊，帅郑鄭智迎來出任執行主教練的智首做出第二場勝仗 。

此役 ，发队鄭智首發登場出任隊長 ，内研一人分飾三個角色 ，究后决定机並助攻鄧涵文攻入製勝球 。后场在連續兩輪使用三中衛陣型後 ，广州麵對首循環曾以一球惜敗的队主北京國安，廣州隊變陣為4-4-2陣型 ，帅郑侯煜和嚴鼎浩被放至替補席 ，智首做出後衛高準翼傷愈回歸出任左翼 ，发队首發最大的内研驚喜是鄭智讓自己披掛上陣 ，這成為比賽勝負的究后决定机關鍵 。
雖然跑動節奏略顯遲緩 ，但41歲的鄭智在其執教後的首次首發中 ，在攻防兩端均不乏閃光點 ，更是憑借豐富的經驗屢屢救險 。
第28分鍾 ，國安隊中場高天意在廣州隊禁區前連過兩人 ，在殺入禁區即將完成射門的一刹那 ，鄭智機警地搶先站住身位 ，以造成對方進攻犯規的方式化解了本次威脅 。
在進攻端 ，廣州隊的隊員均有意識地將球交給鄭智 ，讓執行主教練組織進攻 。對比上輪麵對上海海港時的嚴防死守 ，本輪對北京國安，鄭智領銜的中前場陣型明顯前壓 ，加強了對對手防線的高壓緊逼，這讓鄭智在中場有了更多的拿球機會和空間 ，進球也就水到渠成 。
第40分鍾 ，楊立瑜 、鄭智與鄧涵文完成三角進攻 ，楊立瑜護球回傳給中路的鄭智 ，後者直傳後排插上的鄧涵文 ，最終鄧涵文在禁區外左腳遠射攻入世界波。這個傳球充分展示了鄭智開闊的視野和敏銳的洞察力，而這正是鄭智對於廣州隊的最大價值 。
下半時 ，北京國安換上李磊 、張稀哲和外援安德森•席爾瓦加強攻勢 ，廣州隊隨即由攻轉守。第60分鍾由何超換下鄭智 ，球員鄭智下場 ，教練鄭智則重新“上線” 。
此後，門將劉殿座高接低擋力保城門不失 ，最終廣州隊將1比0的勝果保持到終場。賽後 ，主教練劉智宇認為全隊的表現配得上勝利 ：“大家都拚到了最後 ，感謝球員的付出 ，也感謝場外球迷的支持 。”
對於鄭智的首發登場 ，劉智宇表示鄭智一直都有出場的欲望，但前幾場綜合多方考慮並未安排其登場 ，本場比賽隊內在研究後做出鄭智首發的決定 ，從結果來看是非常正確的選擇 ，“最後三場比賽，鄭智仍有出場的機會，我們會根據不同的對手做出適當的安排 。”
