近年來,中國電影有了突飛猛進的發展,中國正在由一個電影大國躍入世界電影強國,同時,以攝影為基礎的傳統電影創作正在受到數字特技製作的挑戰,中國影視業需要大量優質高端人才,為此國家開放大學校培訓學院組建東方電影學院 。相比較國內其它影視學院,上海國家開放大學培訓學院東方電影學院更強調實戰化 、學術化及國際化 。组建
揭牌儀式上,國家開放大學培訓學院宣布正式組建東方電影學院,宣布聘任東方電影學院院長 、常務副院長及副院長,大学东方电影東方電影學院由國家開放大學培訓學院電影藝術與科學研究院具體領導及管理 。
國家開放大學培訓學院東方電影學院以非學曆培訓為主,精心打造影視藝術教育的品牌課程 、黃金崗位培訓項目 、学院学院專業證書培訓項目,上海並製定 、研發 、组建設計針對乙方培訓需要的开放各類課程,以及專業證書的考評,並通過國家開放大學學分銀行,實施崗位技能培訓學習成果的認證、積累與轉換,大学东方电影方便學習者實現"學職業課程 、提崗位能力、培训拿專業證書 、攢大學學分 、獲國家文憑",同步提升學習能力和學曆的職業培訓目標。
揭牌儀式上,國家開放大學培訓學院還宣布設立東方電影學院鬆江雪浪湖元一教學實訓基地 。
參加這次揭牌儀式的有中國電視藝術家協會的領導 、中央宣傳部 、中央組織部的領導 、上海市教委的領導、國家開放大學培訓學院領導、鬆江區相關領導以及著名導演、演員及社會各界支持者 。
