現年25歲的约合英镑克裏斯滕森在布隆德比出道 ，早在2012年就加盟了切爾西青訓 ，西当薪万2015年上演一線隊首秀 ，红铁之後被租借到德甲門興兩個賽季 。卫已2017年克裏斯滕森回歸切爾西 ，谈妥同周但一直難以獲得穩定的年续出場機會 。《太陽報》透露 ，约合英镑切爾西在18個月之前還曾考慮賣掉克裏斯滕森，西当薪万之後又一度要求克裏斯滕森降薪續約 ，红铁當時切爾西認為已經淪為邊緣人的卫已克裏斯滕森不值得再拿7.8萬英鎊的周薪。
不過上賽季切爾西中途換帥 ，新主帥圖赫爾上任後很重視對克裏斯滕森的培養。目前克裏斯滕森已經成為了切爾西的主力 ，在本賽季的前5輪英超聯賽克裏斯滕森4次首發 ，此外在上周中切爾西1-0戰勝澤尼特的歐冠小組賽中克裏斯滕森也是首發 。憑借出色的表現 ，克裏斯滕森重新贏得了切爾西俱樂部的認可 ，切爾西也因此決定和他續約。
克裏斯滕森目前的合同在明年夏天到期 ，球員本人也願意續約留隊 。目前雙方已經談妥了一份四年新合同 ，此外還有優先續約一年的權利 ，克裏斯滕森的周薪將增加至12萬英鎊 。從一年半之前險些被切爾西甩賣 ，到如今成為球隊不可或缺的重要球員 ，克裏斯滕森用努力扭轉了自己的職業生涯 。
在上周末切爾西3-0戰勝熱刺之後 ，主帥圖赫爾表示 ：“克裏斯滕森從一開始就非常強大 ，他可以勝任後防線的三個位置 ，而且在比賽中充滿信心 ，擁有我們在這個位置上所需要的一切素質 。到目前為止他做得非常出色 ，每個人都希望他繼續下去 。”
