新賽季中超聯賽有望於4月底至5月初拉開戰幕。足协中超眼下，本周中國足協 、考察中足聯正在積極推進賽事的赛区各項籌備工作 。按計劃 ，加速中超各俱樂部須在4月8日前提交參賽確認函 ，推进為準入工作畫上句號 。联赛中超賽區的筹备考察與確認，也有望於近期揭曉答案。工作
三級別聯賽準入名單於4月3日出爐 ，足协中超基於眼下中超聯賽的本周現實處境 ，中國足協大幅降低準入標準 ，考察並出台“三步走”準則 ，赛区督促各俱樂部分批解決欠薪 。加速在政策的推进庇護下 ，中超18家俱樂部全部順利通關 ，但在集齊參賽確認函前 ，新賽季中超聯賽能否滿員出戰 ，依舊存在變數 。
按要求 ，各欠薪俱樂部須在7月31日前 ，解決首批不低於總額30%的欠薪，從現在算起 ，擁有將近四個月的緩衝期 。但截止目前，部分俱樂部股改工作受阻，所麵臨的困難不隻是大額欠薪，還有籌集新賽季的運營經費 。中國足協 、中足聯要求中超各俱樂部不晚於4月8日提交參賽確認函 ，屆時中超準入工作將塵埃落定 。但考慮到現有的經營模式下 ，中超俱樂部普遍缺少“造血功能” ，聯賽中途可能出現的一係列問題 ，也需要決策者提早考慮在內 。
在為準入工作收尾的同時 ，中國足協 、中足聯也在積極推進中超首輪比賽的賽區考察工作 ，計劃於本周內完成對杭州和梅州兩大候選賽區 ，包括比賽場地 、接待能力等辦賽條件的審查 。由於近期國內防疫形勢存在的不確定性，給中超聯賽的籌備工作帶來了諸多挑戰 ，中國足協、中足聯在中超賽區的選擇上 ，也會留有“B計劃” ，以應對不時之需。結合目前各項籌備工作的進度來看 ，新賽季中超聯賽已很難趕在4月底打響 ，大概率會將開賽時間定在5月上旬 。
