對於金球獎 ，编都梅西日前曾表示並不認為自己是胡说頭號熱門，他的態度是“得之我幸失之我命”。萊萬是梅西在金球獎上唯一的競爭者 ，他在出席波蘭隊賽前新聞發布會時，同樣表示對金球獎並不太在乎 。
