本周，德國隊主帥勒夫宣布將在歐洲杯之後卸任 。狐媚回归當地時間周四，德国队勒勒夫出席了新聞發布會 ，夫既談到了自己的不打不关闭決定 ，以及穆勒 、开也博阿滕 、穆勒门胡梅爾斯等人的狐媚回归未來 。
2018世界杯後不久，德国队勒勒夫就宣布不再征召穆勒、夫既博阿滕和胡梅爾斯三人 。不打不关闭而今 ，开也三人又有可能重返國家隊 。穆勒门勒夫說道：“我既不打開也不會關閉德國隊的狐媚回归大門 。作為一名教練 ，德国队勒我必須要問自己 ：‘我想要得到什麽 ？我們要踢什麽風格的足球 ？我們如何讓整支球隊運轉起來 ？’我如今正在為歐洲杯做著打算 ，到時候讓我們看一看 。”
弗裏克被認為是勒夫最熱門的繼任者 。勒夫說道 ：“所有人都知道我與漢斯（弗裏克）的關係 ，所有人都知道漢斯的執教能力 。談論繼任者 ，這不是我的工作 ，我在這方麵不想說任何事情 。我相信 ，德國足協會做出最好的決定 。”
勒夫還談到了德國隊當下的人員組成 ，“基米希 、格雷茨卡 、薩內 、格納布裏 、以及一些其他球員 ，他們正在走向巔峰 。2010年 ，我們的情況有些相似。在那之前，我們度過了艱難的幾年 ，被人甩在了身後 。2010年 ，我們有一支非常年輕的隊伍 ，幾乎沒有大賽經驗 ，那些球員被給予了成長空間 。而在4年後 ，他們達到了巔峰 ，我們成為了世界冠軍 。”
對於自己離任的決定 ，勒夫說道 ：“我已經同一些球員談論過我的決定 ，但是還來不及打電話給所有人。對我來說 ，那些與我一起工作很長時間的球員很重要，比如京多安 、克羅斯或者諾伊爾 ，他們需要從我本人這裏聽到這些 。”
