中國將於3月25日（韓國時間）淩晨1點在沙迦沙迦體育場與沙特阿拉伯進行世界杯預選賽第9輪比賽 ，然後於30日在馬斯喀特蘇丹卡布斯體育場與阿曼進行本次12強賽的最後一戰。
目前 ，中國國家隊正在海口進行集訓 ，但目前尚不清楚已離開球隊的歸化球員是否會返回球隊。在這樣的情況下 ，球員們的戰鬥力值得懷疑 。在比賽動力已經消失的情況下，很顯然，要調動出平時難以達到的鬥誌 ，是一項非常艱巨的任務 。
