消息一出，立即引來了媒體的關注 。待雷比奇回過神來刪除這些內容 ，為時已晚。作為克羅地亞足壇名宿，普羅辛內茨基回應了雷比奇的這番言論 ，“我不知道雷比奇是誰 ，我在很長一段時間內都沒有看到他 。”被克羅地亞足壇分量極重的前輩“無視” ，雷比奇未來在國家隊的日子恐怕不會好過了 。
事實上 ，克羅地亞媒體一直認為 ，主帥達利奇不該給雷比奇那麽多機會 。這位前場球員的得分能力，差得令人發指。而且，在球隊被淘汰出局後，達利奇曾說一些球員“耗盡了所有對他們的信任” 。如果達利奇繼續留任 ，媒體預測雷比奇或許不會再有機會披上克羅地亞國家隊的戰袍了。
