多哈當地時間8月28日晚 ，张稀哲国足尚战术奏高中國隊繼續前往卡塔爾大學訓練場進行訓練，未开訓練開始前 ，始技張稀哲接受了記者的训练采訪 。
張稀哲表示 ：“訓練場地像地毯一樣平 ，李铁草比較薄 ，强调球速也比較快 。快节對訓練有很大的对抗幫助，天氣和時差方麵，张稀哲国足尚战术奏高我感覺天氣比在沙迦時候好一點 ，未开畢竟現在8月底了 ，始技那時候還是训练6月份 ，最熱的李铁時候。比賽時候也有空調 ，强调不用太擔心 ，快节時差方麵球隊也有安排 ，包括吃飯會比較晚一點 ，晚上也會要求大家晚一點睡 。有那麽2-3天就倒過來了 。”
談到教練員的要求，張稀哲表示 ：“主教練要求一直比較嚴格，他一直在強調 ，每個對手都會比敘利亞更難踢 ，節奏也會更快，要求我們在日常訓練中提高自己的節奏 ，包括拚搶可能也會更激烈 ，更凶狠 。”
不過張稀哲透露 ，這兩天的訓練還是以恢複為主，還沒有開始技戰術訓練 。“後麵會根據對手的情況 ，會練習一些技戰術，針對對手的情況，想一些相應的對策 。”
澳大利亞隊28日公布了世預賽名單 ，對於這支澳大利亞隊 ，張稀哲表示 ：“我看了名單 ，就一個在悉尼FC踢球的，其他都是在海外踢球 ，五大聯賽也比較多 ，節奏會比較快，比如中場的穆伊去年也跟上港交手過幾次 ，比較了解，他也會把我們的情況會跟澳大利亞國家隊說 ，這也是相互的 。”
“現在對於我們這批隊員而言 ，就是最好的機會 ，畢竟已經打到12強賽 ，需要力拚每一場 ，每一腳球 。”張稀哲說：“四年過去了 ，經曆過上屆12強賽的球員隊裏也有一半左右，上次畢竟大家都很久沒有踢過12強賽了 ，心裏沒有底 ，這次經曆了上次的12強賽，大家會更有信心 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
