10月24日19時30分 ，顽疾廣州隊將在中超第19輪補賽客場挑戰山東泰山隊 ，难治聯賽第二階段加盟廣州隊的广州蒿俊閔將麵對曾經效力十年的舊主 。

廣州隊近期在聯賽中已7輪不勝 ，队失戰績為3平4負 ，球国球仅目前以3勝3平14負積12分排名第16位 。安相衛冕冠軍山東泰山僅落後“領頭羊”武漢三鎮3分，轮进重燃奪冠希望。进攻廣州隊急需搶分保級 ，顽疾山東泰山則誌在全取三分，难治進一步縮小與武漢三鎮的广州分差 。
兩隊都對勝利充滿渴望 ，队失對雙方來說都是球国球仅1分不解渴 、3分丟不起的安相關鍵一戰 ，但在整體實力上 ，全華班的廣州隊全麵處於下風 ，客場爆冷難度極高 。
廣州隊在近兩周的間歇期維持一日兩練的節奏 ，張修維、李學鵬已傷愈歸隊訓練 ，康複在即。
廣州隊本賽季的防守表現並非不堪一擊 ，30個總失球數遠遠少於武漢長江（41球）與深圳隊（39球） ，和大連人隊相比也少丟兩球 ，與北京國安的總失球數相等；最大的問題是進攻端得分點太少，20輪僅取得12個進球 ，其中韋世豪與楊立瑜包辦了82%的進球。
要想在保級的征途中成功上岸 ，廣州隊主帥鄭智必須在進攻端作出針對性的調整 ，盡快提升得分效率。
山東泰山的傷病潮已有明顯改善 ，主帥郝偉在賽前發布會透露 ，主力中衛賈德鬆可以出場 ，但考慮到其剛剛恢複訓練 ，保險起見應不會首發登場 。費萊尼、劉彬彬、金敬道仍處於恢複中 ，目前隻能參加30%的訓練 。在下輪與上海上港的硬仗前，郝偉希望以健康的方式拿下對陣廣州隊的三分 。
