北京時間8月27日淩晨，2021-2022賽季歐冠小組賽抽簽結果揭曉，高层德甲冠軍拜仁慕尼黑和西甲勁旅巴薩、点评的巴葡超強隊本菲卡和烏克蘭冠軍基輔迪納摩同分在E組 。欧冠對於這樣的分组抽簽結果 ，拜仁董事會主席卡恩 、没有梅西體育主管薩利哈米季奇和隊長諾伊爾都談了自己的萨依看法 。

隊長諾伊爾表示即便失去了梅西 ，巴薩依然強大 ，提醒隊友不能犯錯 ，“在這個小組中我們不能犯任何錯誤 ，他們都是非常強大的對手。從2020年開始 ，巴薩依然是我們所有人的強勁對手 ，即使沒有梅西 ，對陣他們也是一個非常困難的任務 。本菲卡非常強大 ，他們總會踢出很棒的氛圍。我們不能低估基輔迪納摩 ，他們是一支非常頑強的球隊，我對這個小組很期待 ，也期待著在歐洲與這些偉大球隊的比賽 。”
