Michelle Obama is back and she's confusing the heck out of Twitter.
On Friday afternoon our former FLOTUS tweeted what appears to be a phone number from her personal Twitter account, which was promptly deleted but not before some die-hard Obama fans grabbed screenshots.
Phone number blurred out for consideration.Credit: screengrab/twitterHer tweet was a simple ten digits, yet it sparked massive curiosity across the internet. We, too, dying to know who the number belonged to, so we called.
SEE ALSO:Hey Sean Spicer, what's up with that cryptic tweet? Our hopes that we would soon be speaking with FLOTUS herself came to a crashing halt when the call went straight to voicemail of someone named Duncan Wolfe. Google Voice also identified the number as belonging to the name.
Credit: screengrab/google voiceA quick search revealed that Chicago filmmaker and photographer, Duncan Wolfe, has worked with The Obamas while they were in the White House, in addition to contributing work to The New York Times, McDonald's, Toyota, and Hewlett-Packard, amongst others.
According to The Chicago Business Journal, Wolfe was one of Obama's 20 Office of Digital Strategy staff members who had the pleasure of following the president and vice president around and documenting their lives.
Though you may not realize it, you've almost certainly seen some of Wolfe's work. Does this video of Obama's sick freestyle sesh with Lin-Manuel Miranda look familiar? Wolfe worked on the videography.
Wolfe's personal website reveals photographs he took of Obama while he was a "White House intern," along with a link to his Instagram account.

Also, Wolfe is left-handed and has the same birthday as Oprah, which happens to be Jan. 29. All of which are super cool facts. We can only hope that Michelle Obama was calling him to touch base on an epic potential project, but we also called Wolfe for additional details.
While we were busy getting the inside scoop, Twitter users who likely watched the number vanish before getting a chance to dial the digits began hypothesizing who Michelle could be attempting to put on blast by sharing the number.
