北京時間4月19日 ，曝本歐洲12家豪門球隊宣布組建歐洲超級聯賽，季欧加入引發足壇軒然大波 。冠欧隨即，联暂歐足聯官方也予以了回應 ，停剩宣布將竭盡全力製裁這一賽事 。余队據各大媒體的欧超最新消息 ，由於突然發生的重磅中队事態 ，本賽季的曝本歐冠和歐聯杯賽事將暫停 。
目前，季欧加入歐冠淘汰賽即將開啟半決賽階段 ，冠欧晉級到半決賽的联暂球隊分別是巴黎聖日耳曼 、曼城 、停剩皇家馬德裏和切爾西 。余队在這四支球隊之中 ，隻有巴黎聖日耳曼是拒絕參加歐超聯賽的球隊 ，其餘三家球隊均宣布加入到歐超聯賽的行列中 。
而歐聯杯同樣進行到了半決賽階段 ，存活的球隊還有曼聯 、羅馬 、比利亞雷亞爾和阿森納 。在這四支球隊中 ，曼聯和阿森納均是確認參加歐超聯賽的球隊。
北京時間4月28日3:00 ，歐冠半決賽原計劃展開首回合較量，對陣雙方是皇馬主場迎戰切爾西 。而歐聯杯半決賽則原定在4月30日3:00開戰 ，阿森納將客場挑戰比利亞雷亞爾 ，曼聯將主場對陣羅馬。
