亞冠首回合比賽中，惨案创队沒有任何懸念 ，重现以U21球員為主的山东史最山東泰山以0比7慘敗韓國的大邱FC ，創造了山東隊有史以來的泰山最大比分慘敗 ，並追平中超球隊在亞冠的大比最大比分輸球 。下輪對戰更強的分输浦和紅鑽 ，這一紀錄可能再被改寫 。球纪
在這場強弱分明之戰中 ，年后山東隊開場後就處於被動 ，惨案创队比賽進行到25分鍾時 ，重现對手已經輕鬆3球領先 。山东史最下半時山東隊更是泰山再丟4球。除此之外 ，大比大邱還有一次擊中門柱，分输至少3次必進球被山東泰山的門將曹政或防線球員門前解圍 。
從全場數據來看 ，山東隊4次射門1次射正 ，對方則是26次射門12次射正 ，控球率之比是34%比66% ，可以說 ，隻丟7個球的山東泰山，已經算是非常幸運 。
一場0比7的慘敗 ，已經刷新了山東隊有記錄以來的最大比分失利 ，並追平了單場最多丟球 。山東泰山此前在亞冠賽場的最大比分輸球 ，還出現在21年前 ，2001年的山東魯能在亞俱杯（亞冠前身）被韓國水原三星6比0擊潰。2005年 ，山東魯能做客伊蒂哈德，被對手7比2擊敗 。
值得注意的是 ，當年山東隊慘敗的水原三星和伊蒂哈德 ，都在那一年拿到了亞冠的冠軍 。而本次對手的大邱FC不僅不算是K聯賽的傳統豪門 ，本賽季的戰績也非常糟糕 。前9輪2勝2平5負僅有8分，暫時位列聯賽倒數第三位。
雖說山東隊隻是U21 ，多數球員甚至剛剛18歲 ，可是如此慘敗這樣的一支球隊 ，還是有點說不過去。從全場90分鍾來看 ，除了能用拚勁尚可來搪塞外 ，山東隊的低級失誤不斷 ，門將曹政的離奇拌蒜，球員們還經常在無人盯防的情況下 ，將球傳出邊線 ，甚至近距離停球出界 。
而在防守上 ，山東隊的戰術單調 ，僅僅是簡單的在禁區內堆積大量球員，而不是切斷對方的傳球路線。導致比賽完全成為了半場攻防 。
本場後 ，山東泰山隊還追平了中超球隊在亞冠賽場的最大慘敗 ，上賽季同樣是以青年軍出征的北京國安以0比7分不敵川崎前鋒 ，創造了中超球隊在亞冠的最慘失利 。
值得注意的是，下輪山東隊將麵對實力明顯強於大邱FC的J聯賽球隊浦和紅鑽。屆時如果還是這樣的表現 ，山東隊的恥辱紀錄 ，可能很快就會被刷新 。即使小組中較弱的新加坡球隊獅城水手 ，其隊中也有前申花的強力高中鋒金興煜 ，還有在葡超效力多年的巴西中場洛佩斯，同樣難以對付。
從客觀角度來看 ，疫情的衝擊以及中超金元時代的告別 ，中超球隊選擇讓青年軍參賽，確實是無奈之舉 。而對於山東泰山隊來講，此次他們參賽 ，拿到1分已是奢望 ，隻要打進一個進球 ，就應算圓滿完成了任務 。
