在主場3比2戰勝中國隊後 ，沙特沙特隊取得12強賽4連勝 ，队主对手從而領跑B組積分榜 。力门賽後 ，将伤沙特隊法國籍主教練雷納德表示 ，停两球隊欲出線還有很多工作要做 ，个月国足他還表達了對中國隊球員弄傷本隊門將的主帅不滿之情。

對於人員的調整 ，雷納德表示 ，“你們都知道 ，沙赫拉尼 、多薩裏等球員都有傷在身，幸好今天首發的薩米攻入了2球 。在進攻左路，他表現得很好 。”
對於比賽最後時刻自己的情緒激動，雷納德解釋說 ：“我憤怒 ，是因為中國隊球員兩次造成我們的守門員受傷 ，我希望裁判能夠保護我們的球員 ，這就是我憤怒的原因 。當然 ，我對自己的行為也很抱歉。”
據了解 ，因與中國隊艾克森發生身體碰撞而下場的沙特隊門將奧維斯將缺席兩個月的訓練與比賽 ，這對沙特隊來說 ，無疑是個巨大損失 。
