北京時間1月30日淩晨3時 ，杯发布会被拿非洲杯四分之一決賽 ，克风突尼斯對陣布基納法索 。走因租用據拜因體育記者雅辛-本拉姆諾爾透露 ，未付就在賽前新聞發布會開始前幾秒 ，奇葩前麦突然有人衝上講台 ，非洲费拿走了麥克風 、杯发布会被拿電纜等設備 ，然後就跑了 。發布會現場的工作人員想要抓住他 ，但之後發現是賽事組委會向他租用了相關設備 ，卻沒有及時付錢 。
這一幕被現場的媒體記者們看到，堪稱本屆非洲杯鬧出的又一個大笑話 。而對於即將到來的四分之一決賽，突尼斯球員瓦赫比-哈茲裏表示 ：“我們有信心 ，我們球隊的實力來自集體，這就是我們能夠走得更遠的方式 。”
而布基納法索國內剛經曆了軍事政變 ，國家隊主帥卡穆-馬洛表示 ：“這是一場我們必須獲勝才能繼續前進的比賽 ，一場非常困難的比賽 ，關係到半決賽的門票 。我們在今天上午有幸和我們的新總統通了電話，他給了我們一些建議和鼓勵 ，並向我們保證他們一直在身後支持我們 。我們有責任一直努力並爭取進入決賽 ，就從明天的比賽開始 。”
