第21分鍾 ，於漢超頭球攻門擊中橫梁 ，占據主動的申花錯過絕佳破門機會 。缺少奧斯卡的上海海港則采取穩守反擊戰術 ，並在第55分鍾由劉祝潤打破僵局。第85分鍾 ，魏震染紅離場 ，人數占優的申花隊憑借趙明劍第90分鍾的進球將比分扳為1比1 ，但仍以2比6的總比分被對手淘汰 。
上海申花主教練毛毅軍為出局的結果遺憾 ，“首回合大比分失利，注定了晉級很困難。感謝隊員們今天拚到了最後1分鍾 ，雖然遲遲沒有破門 ，但我們沒有放棄 。”
