凱恩在歐洲杯結束之後前往巴哈馬和佛羅裏達度假 ，队意回到英國後又被隔離 ，愿坚有突一度隻能單獨訓練 。决转进展媒體此前曾批評凱恩拖延歸隊 ，曝凯判本破性試圖以罷賽的恩离方式施壓要求轉會 ，不少球迷因此質疑凱恩的队意職業態度 。
但凱恩則認為 ，愿坚有突自己得到了熱刺俱樂部主席列維的决转进展口頭同意 ，允許他延長一周的假期 。而就在凱恩延長假期後 ，卻被告知熱刺新主帥努諾-桑托希望他如期歸隊參加季前訓練，凱恩隻得又回到熱刺 。
目前凱恩已經結束隔離參加了熱刺全隊合練 ，此前桑切斯 、戴爾等熱刺隊友均表示，歡迎凱恩歸隊 ，凱恩對球隊非常重要 。盡管凱恩入選了熱刺的歐會杯報名名單 ，將在本周三隨隊飛往葡萄牙參加熱刺客場對費雷拉的歐會杯附加賽，但凱恩和熱刺主席列維的關係不斷惡化 ，這讓凱恩堅定了在今夏轉會的想法 。
熱刺俱樂部消息人士告知《太陽報》 ，由於凱恩的離隊意願堅決，熱刺俱樂部已經無奈地接受了他將會在今夏轉會離開的現實。熱刺主席列維為凱恩的定價高達1.6億英鎊 ，曼城此前曾報價1億英鎊但遭到拒絕 ，曼城準備將報價提高到1.2億英鎊 。兩家俱樂部關於凱恩的轉會談判預計將在本周末之前取得突破性進展。
