北京時間7月15日淩晨，马尔米兰來自意大利媒體《足球市場》的蒂尼消息稱 ，米蘭體育總監馬爾蒂尼在接受采訪時談起了法國前鋒吉魯的吉鲁即将加盟問題 ，他表示這位法國國腳即將加盟米蘭 。费最根據此前媒體的高万報道 ，米蘭會支付100萬歐元的马尔米兰轉會費 ，另外會有與表現掛鉤了100萬歐元的蒂尼浮動轉會費 。
吉魯在阿森納成名 ，吉鲁即将加盟隨後加盟了藍軍切爾西 ，费最盡管年事已高 ，高万但是马尔米兰法國人發揮不俗 ，在上個賽季為切爾西各項賽事出場31次，蒂尼其中首發出場12次 ，吉鲁即将加盟打入11個進球 。费最對於一名34歲的高万前鋒來說 ，能在職業生涯末年依舊保持著如此高的進球效率 ，吉魯的表現令人驚訝 。
其實在今年的冬窗 ，媒體就曝出了吉魯會離開切爾西投奔意甲的消息 ，但是最終交易未能達成 。而在近日 ，有關吉魯會投奔米蘭的報道多了起來 。根據媒體的報道 ，米蘭會支付給切爾西100萬歐元的轉會費 ，另外還有100萬歐元的浮動轉會費 ，而這與吉魯在米蘭的個人發揮有關 。
另外，米蘭為了邀請吉魯加盟 ，也為其提供了一份為期兩年，年薪350萬歐元到400萬歐元的合同 。關於吉魯加盟米蘭的報道 ，意大利主流媒體給予了確認 。而米蘭體育總監馬爾蒂尼在接受采訪時也對此予以了肯定 ：“是的，吉魯應該明天抵達 。吉魯是個冠軍 ，他代表切爾西和法國都取得了很棒的成就 。吉魯是個可靠的球員，這正是我們需要的 ，因為我們擁有意甲最年輕的陣容 ，需要增補一些經驗。”
