近日 ，印度男足國家隊的队主克羅地亞籍主教練斯蒂馬奇指出 ，印度足球架構有很大問題，帅中世界要求從國內聯賽等各個方麵進行改革 ，国足並在其間用中國足球作為案例 ，年花稱中國為了謀求足球發展每年花費超過10億美元，费超他們都沒能衝進世界杯決賽圈 ，印度亿还印度的队主現狀又如何與其他亞洲球隊競爭呢 ？
斯蒂馬奇引用了中國足球作為例子 ，來說明印度在夢想獲得世界杯決賽圈資格之前 ，帅中世界要與其他亞洲球隊匹敵是国足多麽艱難 。
“中國為了謀求足球發展上每年的年花花費都超過 10 億美元 。數以百萬計孩子們在學校裏踢球 ，费超成千上萬的印度亿还外國教練到中國執教，並歸化外國球員為他們的队主國家隊效力 ，但這還不足以讓他們贏得世界杯決賽圈的帅中世界入場券 。”
不過這番言論遭到了中國網友的吐槽 ，我們中國足球有百萬的孩子在學校踢球 ，你是在哪看到的數據；中國足球是真正把錢花在了刀把和劍鞘上，你們千萬別和中國足球學 。
斯蒂馬奇接著說道 ，“我們夢想著有一天能參加世界杯 ，但這是一個漫長而又艱辛的過程 ，因為我們並不是唯一夢想衝出亞洲走向世界的人 。其他國家在投資量級 、基層 、外籍教練 、教練執照等方麵（比我們）做得更多…… 。”（卓奧友）
