據澎湃新聞報道 ，在訓練場上，33歲的蘇炳添在團隊裏已經開始進行身份和角色的過渡 ，但在跑道上 ，蘇炳添依舊是那個全速奔跑的領軍人物 。
“對於我來說 ，能跑一年算一年，隻要身體狀態還行我就不會停下來 。”
這是蘇炳添去年在接受《羊城晚報》采訪時說出的一番期待 ，他也一直是一位喜歡用行動來代替言語的運動員，重回室內賽場的6秒59 ，就已經證明了他在冬訓中的努力 。
另據中新體壇消息，2023年伊始，蘇炳添在運動員之外 ，又多了一重新的身份 ：中國田徑協會副主席 。賽場之外，他不斷通過自己的努力為運動員發聲 。早在2019年，蘇炳添就已經是世界田聯運動員工作委員會中的一員 。
“感謝世界田聯 、中國田徑隊的信任與支持 ！我會倍加珍惜這來之不易的機會 ，努力做好這份工作 ，不辜負大家的期望 ，為廣大的運動員發聲 ！”談及這份榮譽 ，蘇炳添更願意將其稱之為責任 。
雖然身兼數職 ，但作為一名職業運動員，蘇炳添依舊擁有一顆突破自我的心 。
對於蘇炳添和中國短跑來說，2023年依舊是充滿挑戰的一年 ，除了布達佩斯的田徑世錦賽，他們還要在家門口的杭州亞運會上迎接日本短跑軍團的挑戰 。
