中場休息時 ，进球久违剛剛從麵部傷勢中回歸的献爱德布勞內替補登場 ，一手導演了這場的神比逆轉，但他在進球後並沒有選擇慶祝 。主帅賽後他在接受采訪時表示 ：“我肯定很高興 。考验但我尊重在這座球場的德布人們 ，我去了埃裏克森當時倒下的那個位置 ，而且我也讓我自己冷靜下來 。”
埃裏克森倒地接受急救時 ，丹麥中場德萊尼忍不住掩麵哭泣 ，而在這場與比利時的賽後，他表示球隊的情緒還在受著影響 。“對我們來講 ，再次站在這裏 ，並聽到國歌 ，其實並不是一件容易的事情。”德萊尼說 ，“我們在賽前圍成一圈，互相激勵 ，並表示將會全力以赴 ，這就已經足夠讓我感到自豪了 ，我們的開局很好 ，輸球也確實讓我們感到很遺憾 。”
