影片《降妖伏魔之定海神針》講述了鬥戰勝佛孫悟空的金箍棒遊曆凡間 ，在經曆愛恨情仇後協助大聖平叛妖魔的故事 。該片從一個全新的角度講解了孫悟空與六耳獼猴的故事 ，而遊曆人間的金箍棒幻化成人形，還經曆了娶妻生子等有情有義的故事 ，故事的選材很新穎 ，角度也頗具創意 。
兩岸三地演員共同打造
該片由兩岸三地的多位知名演員共同主演 。其中包括了曹榮 ，李國麟 ，郝劭文 ，韓馬利這些被觀眾們耳熟能詳的演員 。曹榮老師的孫悟空帥氣又靈動 ，李國麟老師飾演的太上老君與郝劭文飾演的金角大王一對活寶 ，鬧出了不少令人捧腹的笑話。而韓馬利老師飾演的海娃母親既嚴厲又慈祥 ，是不是還拋出一些笑梗 ，紮實的演技功底為影片增色不少 。
敖犬首次搭檔詹妮詮釋淒美愛情
《降妖伏魔之定海神針》在男女主角的選擇上啟用了敖犬與詹妮兩位演員 。敖犬又名莊濠全，2017年出演過電視劇《西遊記女兒國》 ，這次可畏是與西遊再次結緣，其本身作為流行歌手與舞團成員所以在個人氣質上十分出色 ，而這也為本片的打戲加分不少 ，英武的姿態也十分符合定海神針此等神物應該有的非凡氣度 。
詹妮飾演的銀角大王俏皮可愛 ，呆萌中帶有一絲靈動，與敖犬飾演的海娃之前笑料百出的對手戲可謂是本片的最大亮點，給觀眾留下了深刻印象。電影中有不少略顯現代的笑梗台詞 ，非但沒有衝淡古裝的味道 ，反而這種古代與現代的結合效果出奇的精彩 。但俗話說有多甜就有多虐心 ，兩人最後的生死別離催人淚下 ，讓我們看懂了勇於承擔責任的人將擁有改變世界的力量 。全片甜蜜 ，歡樂 ，又引人深思 ，值得觀看 。
