據悉 ，为主35歲的排水黃博文與廣州隊合同已到期，上賽季中超後半段就一直與鄭智一起坐在教練席上 。广州作為廣州恒大時期功勳球員，花都和路黃博文有過海外踢球經曆，体育途问题放他在2012年加盟當時的廣州恒大 ，正好為廣州恒大效力了10個賽季 ，幫助球隊拿到8個中超冠軍 、兩個亞冠冠軍 、兩個超級杯冠軍和兩個足協杯冠軍 。
新賽季，廣州隊仍由恒大集團全資控股 。廣州隊或將主場搬到大學城球場 。天河體育場將作為2023年世界田聯接力世錦賽主場地 ，天河體育場將整改 ，迎接這項世界大賽。在天河體育場整改期間 ，廣州隊隻能另選主場 。球隊選擇大學城足球場作為主場 。
據悉 ，廣州隊一度想申請花都體育場作為球隊主場 ，但是一方麵考慮到路途遙遠；另一方麵 ，花都場的排水條件不算特別好，不太適合多雨季節的比賽需求 。另有消息顯示 ，恒大甚至將清遠基地的比賽場地作為備選方案 。
