本賽季下半程 ，博格巴开逐漸擺脫了傷病困擾的周薪博格巴的狀態明顯回升 ，出色的续约發揮使得這位法國中場的續約問題更加受到關注。根據《每日鏡報》的曼联卖掉消息 ，曼聯計劃為博格巴開出一份周薪40萬英鎊的博格巴开續約合同 ，若後者同意 ，周薪這位28歲的续约法國中場將超過德赫亞 ，成為球隊的曼联卖掉第一高薪者 ，同時也將是博格巴开隊史第一高薪 。據悉 ，周薪曼聯打算在本月就將開始與博格巴的續約談判 ，他們希望這位正值當打之年的法國中場能再為球隊效力4年 。此外 ，為了保持薪資結構，在迪恩-亨德森逐漸站穩腳跟的情況下 ，曼聯計劃出售周薪達到 35 萬英鎊的德赫亞 ，以此解放資金空間來續約博格巴 ，英格蘭國門將成為紅魔的1號門將 。
不過 ，《鏡報》表示，如果博格巴方麵拒絕這份40萬英鎊周薪的續約合同 ，那麽曼聯將會在今夏將其出售套現 。此前 ，有媒體報道 ，博格巴和他的著名經紀人拉伊奧拉想要50萬英鎊的周薪 ，遭到了曼聯方麵的拒絕 。博格巴與曼聯的合同將在明年夏天到期 ，齊達內率領的皇馬一直對他有意 ，齊祖非常想要得到這位法國老鄉 。因此 ，為了避免球員合同到期後以自由身離隊 ，落得人財兩空的下場，曼聯將會在今夏將博格巴賣掉。
