當地時間3月15日 ，意输一起誹謗案開庭，球迫巴黎聖日耳曼門將納瓦斯布萊恩-魯伊斯 、黎加塞爾索-博爾赫斯兩位國家隊友起訴了哥斯達黎加足協的主帅前任主管 。此前 ，西媒下课他們三人曾被指控密謀故意輸掉國家隊的纳瓦一些比賽，從而讓當時的斯被使哥斯达國家隊主帥若熱-路易斯-平托下課。
若熱-路易斯-平托曾於2011年至2014年執教哥斯達黎加國家隊 。控故2014年 ，意输他帶領哥斯達黎加國家隊打進巴西世界杯 ，球迫並帶隊力壓意大利和英格蘭以小組頭名出線 ，黎加一路晉級至8強 。但由於和球員之間的關係在世界杯之後變得複雜 ，他於當年辭去了哥斯達黎加國家隊主帥的職位 。
