北京時間10月8日淩晨1點，武磊武磊2022卡塔爾世界杯亞洲區預選賽12強賽B組第3輪 ，赛后杀球中國男足坐鎮中立場地阿聯酋沙迦體育場迎戰越南隊。称绝上半場第36分鍾張玉寧曾經打入一球 ，自己账下但由於越位在先 ，没碰進球無效 。到裁第53分鍾 ，判依武磊單刀球被撲 ，其算張玉寧補射建功 。武磊武磊第74分鍾，赛后杀球王燊超助攻武磊頭球擴大領先 。称绝隨後 ，自己账下越南隊由替補的没碰胡晉才扳回一球 。第90分鍾 ，到裁阮進靈扳平了比分 。判依傷停補時第5分鍾 ，王燊超傳中，武磊中路包抄 ，中國隊完成絕殺 。最終，國足3-2戰勝了越南隊 ，迎來了12強賽首勝。
不過 ，在賽後混采中武磊表示 ：“最後一個球我應該是沒有碰到 ，今天非常不容易 ，麵對越南的時候 ，我們的陣型和人員做了一些調整 ，張玉寧在箭頭的位置發揮了非常好的作用 ，不僅是看（他的）一個進球，他給球隊帶來的作用是非常好的 。”
雖然武磊表示最後一個進球自己沒碰到皮球，不過本場比賽的主裁判和比賽監督仍然將這個絕殺球記在了武磊賬下 。
