本周五，得金在距離金球獎頒獎隻有4天的情況下 ，來自《天空體育》的記者Matteo Moretto曝光了自己得到的最新消息 。Matteo Moretto在社交媒體上回複網友帖子時表示：“（金球獎屬於）梅西 ，他和他的朋友們已經知道了結果 。”
本次金球獎頒獎典禮中 ，除了金球獎之外 ，還會頒發另外三個獎項 ，分別是 ：女足金球獎、科帕獎 、雅辛獎 。
