北京時間10月11日 ，官方U国受疫情影響 ，足因中國99年齡段U22國足將退出本月下旬在塔吉克斯坦進行的疫情U亚预赛运第五屆U23亞洲杯預選賽 。
公告如下 ：
由於疫情防控和航班限製等原因 ，退出中國U-22國家男子足球隊無法按計劃赴塔吉克斯坦參加2022年亞足聯U-23亞洲杯預選賽 ，好亚不得不遺憾退出本次比賽 。备战下一步 ，官方U国U-22國家男子足球隊將繼續在主教練亞曆山大·揚戈維奇的足因帶領下 ，嚴格訓練 ，疫情U亚预赛运做好2022杭州亞運會的退出備戰工作 。
在此前進行的好亚2022年亞足聯U-23亞洲杯預選賽抽簽儀式中，中國U-22國家男子足球隊與澳大利亞隊 、备战印尼隊、官方U国文萊隊一起分在G組 。足因G組預選賽原定於10月23日至31日在印尼進行 ，疫情U亚预赛运後因當地疫情原因，移至塔吉克斯坦舉行 。
