希丁克此次訪問韓國 ，韩媒韩国韩日也將是希丁他自2019年因個人工作訪問韓國以來 ，時隔三年第一次踏入"第二故鄉" 。克下
今年是访问韓日世界杯舉辦20周年 ，此前希丁克在接受國際足聯采訪時 ，纪念介紹了那屆世界杯韓國隊超常發揮背後的世界秘密。“在同意大利隊比賽的杯周前一天晚上 ，總統金大中在電話中說 ，韩媒韩国韩日‘如果我們明天贏了 ，球員們可以免服兵役 。聽到這話 ，球員們流下了眼淚 。
在那屆世界杯結束後 ，希丁克繼續與韓國保持著緊密的聯係 ：2005年他入選韓國足協名人堂，2011年被任命為韓國國家隊名譽主帥 ， 2012 年 ，他被任命為平昌冬奧會的公關大使 。
