重慶隊由於眾所周知的困難，對賽季前備戰影響很大 ，對此張外龍談道：“球隊目前還有很多困難 ，但球員都是喜歡足球的 ，是希望自己能成為真正的職業球員的 。他們也把重慶的精神與重慶的魂體現了出來 。隊員們克服了很多困難 ，相信以後的困難他們也會繼續克服 ，重慶隊的成績會打得越來越好 。”
至於對手大連人隊，第二階段首場比賽1-0戰勝了河南隊 ，不過比賽中進攻效率不佳的問題卻暴露出來 ，整場比賽大連人隊射門高達20腳 ，不過僅有一粒進球 ，這粒進球還頗有運氣成分。對此 ，主帥何塞分析表示 ，比賽結果取決於哪一方進攻效率更高 ，大連人隊要完成更多射門 ，同時力保球門不失 ，才能離勝利越來越近。現在要是再想著上場勝利能給球隊帶來什麽 ，出發點就是錯的。
此役對於兩支球隊來說 ，可以說是一場6分之戰 ，贏球不僅可以幫助自己擴大優勢 ，還能使對手陷入不利局麵 。在第一階段，大連人取得2勝1平11負排名第八，重慶兩江競技取得3勝2平9負排名第六 。重慶兩江競技在最近八次麵對大連人隻輸了三場 ，而且其中七場比賽都能取得進球 ，這或許是一個心裏優勢 。（DD）
