亞足聯官方表示：“本周三，女足中國女足參加東京奧運會的奥运大名單出爐 ，一些年輕球員名字出現在大名單中，名单而一些名將卻無緣入選 。多名包括此前奧預賽的主力球員，其中最有名的有前鋒唐佳麗，此外還包括隊長馬君 ，另外還有婁佳慧和姚偉 ，取代她們的是包括四名此前從未入選過國家隊的球員以及五名國家隊比賽場次僅有5次甚至更少的球員 。新入選的球員包括守門員丁璿 、中場的劉靖和王妍雯以及來自長春的前鋒烏日古木拉 ，她們此前從未在國際大賽中有過出場 。”
亞足聯官方還表示：“盡管這份名單出乎意料 ，但賈秀全的名單中也不乏一些資深球員，包括隊長吳海燕 、前鋒王霜和王珊珊都出現在名單上，門將彭詩夢也順利入選 。東京奧運會 ，中國女足與巴西、荷蘭 、讚比亞同分在F組 ，她們小組賽首輪與巴西隊的比賽將在7月21日打響 。”
