2009年夏天 ，C羅在美國拉斯維加斯度假時 ，实锤卷入了一場性侵案 。美国C羅與馬約爾加發生了性關係 ，警方检察绝並在事後支付了27.6萬英鎊的逮捕封口費 。將近10年後 ，却遭馬約爾加站出來曝光此事 ，官拒並因為自己身心受損而索賠5600萬英鎊 。性侵如今《太陽報》獨家報道稱 ，实锤美國警方的美国確一度準備逮捕並起訴C羅 。
馬約爾加的警方检察绝代理律師斯托瓦爾，揭秘了案件審理真相 ：“警方認為 ，逮捕他們可以以性侵指控針對C羅提起訴訟 ，却遭而地方檢察官沃夫森則決定不起訴C羅 。官拒當逮捕令被提交給地方檢察官時，性侵沃夫森拒絕起訴 ，而且沒有給出任何原因 。任何說法 ，都隻是在猜測 ，而且當時處於訴訟時效之內 。”沃夫森此人 ，是拉斯維加斯的最高檢察官 。
這番話，是斯托瓦爾在去年9月21日所說的 ，他是在拉斯維加斯的美國地方法院出庭時做出了上述論述。但這段文字記載 ，直到如今才被《太陽報》獨家爆料 。2019年7月 ，美國警方針對此案進行了多次調查和審查。但沃夫森卻認為 ，沒有足夠證據可以確鑿無誤地證明C羅對馬約爾加進行了性侵 ，他因此拒絕針對C羅提出任何指控 。
警方雖然針對此案停止了調查，但在民事方麵，此案仍然在調查審理之中 。針對此事，C羅及其經紀公司都拒絕進行回應 。由於在美國有這樁性侵案在身 ，C羅已經多年沒有踏足美國大地了。除非此案徹底了解，否則C羅也不可能在職業生涯末期去美職聯效力 ，畢竟他有可能因為性侵案而被逮捕並判刑 。
