吉格斯表示自己無罪 ，斯寻並希望在法庭澄清自己的新欢新女清白 。而《太陽報》則透露 ，吉格斯在此前涉嫌家暴案的保釋期內 ，依然找到了新女友 。吉格斯的新女友名叫紮拉-查爾斯 ，現年33歲，比吉格斯小14歲。紮拉-查爾斯是一位內衣模特 ，有著性感的身材 ，媒體上周還拍到兩人在柴郡大街上牽手遛狗的親密照片 。
消息人士向《太陽報》透露，就在吉格斯遭遇家暴醜聞並且和凱特分手幾天後，他和紮拉就開始了新的戀情 。
“在過去幾個月時間 ，紮拉一直在支持吉格斯。她是一個開朗樂觀的女孩，吉格斯也向她敞開心扉，兩人在一起看起來關係很密切。”吉格斯和前妻史黛西在2016年分手 ，2018年和凱特公開戀情 ，如今他在家暴案後又迅速找到了新女友 。
