有球迷在社交媒體上曬出了自己舉報馬奎爾個人社媒賬號的充球截圖 ，在圖片中可以看到 ，愤怒係統提示 ：“請選擇該賬號偽造的球迷身份認證標簽 。”該球迷輸入：“足球運動員” 。举报由此可見，马奎媒账曼聯球迷對於球隊後防表現的尔社不滿已經到了極致 。
在1-4不敵曼城的证理比賽中 ，曼聯在進攻端難有作為 ，由冒而後防線卻是危機四伏。麵對同城死敵的進攻，曼聯的防守如同虛設，作為球隊的隊長以及後防主力 ，馬奎爾在賽後也遭到紅魔球迷的批評。目前 ，曼聯已經被少賽三場的阿森納擠出了英超積分榜前四，而排在身後的西漢姆聯僅比曼聯少2分。接下來 ，曼聯在聯賽中將要迎來和熱刺 、萊斯特城的比賽。就目前的形勢而言 ，曼聯想要躋身英超前四已經很難了 。
