在登貝萊續約問題上 ，莱还巴薩和球員之間明顯存在著截然不同的想谈续约態度 。巴薩高層阿萊馬尼在本周四明確表態稱續約談判失敗 ，巴萨标巴薩希望登貝萊在冬季轉會期盡快離隊 ，快点登貝萊則發文表示“談判並沒有結束” 。登贝冬窗今天《世界體育報》在頭版頭條上指出 ，莱还登貝萊仍然希望與巴薩續約 ，想谈续约法國人真可謂是巴萨标來了一出迷惑操作。
按照《世界體育報》的快点說法 ，登貝萊經紀人西索科將在下周飛抵巴塞羅那 。登贝冬窗西索科將首先與登貝萊見麵 ，莱还然後再與巴薩高層就其續約問題進行對話。想谈续约登貝萊原本索要最高5000萬歐元稅前年薪 ，巴萨标巴薩將本周三設定為續約談判截止日 。快点由於西索科始終沒有就巴薩報價給出回應，巴薩因此撤回報價並認定談判已經失敗 。
盡管登貝萊還想和巴薩繼續對話 ，但巴薩已經決定將其清洗了。據《巴黎人報》報道稱，巴薩為登貝萊標價2000萬歐元 。考慮到登貝萊半年後就能免費轉會 ，這個價格其實也不算低了 。如果登貝萊在冬季離隊的話 ，曼聯和紐卡是他最有可能的下家 。
登貝萊的舉動 ，使得他遭到了巴薩名宿斯托伊奇科夫的怒噴 ：“如果你不想為巴薩效力 ，那至少別玷汙巴薩的隊徽 。哈維沒讓他進入更衣室 ，我為哈維的決定而鼓掌，因為巴薩更衣室值得尊重 ，它有121年曆史。拉波爾塔 ，請打開大門 ，讓那些感受不到巴薩色彩的人離開 ，我們需要那些願意為這件球衣流汗的人 。登貝萊從不理解巴薩的意義 ，我也是外國人 ，但我融入了進來 ，我懂得了巴薩的意義 ，但登貝萊卻從來都不懂 。”
為了清洗登貝萊 ，巴薩沒有讓他入選對陣畢巴的大名單 。但如果巴薩繼續封殺登貝萊的話 ，反倒有可能因此而被起訴。西班牙球員工會已經發表聲明 ，指責巴薩利用施壓的方式來逼迫登貝萊續約或離隊 。而由於巴薩公開要求登貝萊離隊，這違反了西班牙《勞務法》的相關規定 。如果巴薩一直采用這種態度對待登貝萊的話 ，巴薩有可能需要被迫向其賠付10個月薪水 ，總額約為1200萬歐元 。
