葡萄牙的哭后魯本-迪亞斯和格雷羅在第35分鍾和第39分鍾 ，分別打進一粒烏龍球，卫队德國隊將比分反超 。友场在同一場比賽中 ，送乌本方打進兩粒烏龍球並不多見 ，追本洲杯根據統計 ，届欧葡萄牙是歐洲杯曆史上第一支在單場打進兩粒烏龍球的球隊 。
值得一提的是 ，德國隊在小組賽首戰0-1不敵法國隊的比賽中，胡梅爾斯就打進過一粒烏龍球 。但是到了小組賽第二輪 ，反而對手打進兩粒烏龍球 ，幫助德國隊反超比分 ，德國隊因此成為了歐洲杯曆史上第一支在同一屆賽事中既有本方球員擺烏龍 ，又製造了對手烏龍球的球隊 。
本屆歐洲杯至今，總共已經出現了5粒烏龍球 ，打進烏龍球的球員分別是德米拉爾 、斯澤斯尼 、胡梅爾斯 、魯本-迪亞斯和格雷羅 。根據統計，此前三屆歐洲杯 ，合計隻出現過4次烏龍 ，本屆歐洲杯成為了曆史上烏龍球數最多的一屆歐洲杯 ，而且本屆歐洲杯還沒有打完 ，這一紀錄還有可能繼續擴大 。
